Space Fish Splendor!!
Damn. Ya know when you find yourself stumbling out of a fugue state, coming to in the middle of the Limsa Lominsa Aetheryte Plaza but like 8 months have passed and you have can't remember anything that happened in that time? Yeah me neither, but whatever was happening it sure wasn't fishing.
SO today I set back out to continue my unending quest to catch every fish known to anybody! Happy to say that I've still got it. "It" being uhhh time, perseverance, determination, and sheer spite. And for that, I could check off SIX WHOLE FISH from my list of all known fish! 3 of them being SPACE FISH!
I'm still a bit confused about space fish... geometry... but eh... a fish is a fish is a fish I'll catch even if I have to fight god to do it (AGAIN).
The starscryer I definitely caught with the help of lady luck herself. I was just standing around writing about the charibenet and spiders in my tackle sack with one hand while absentmindedly casting my rod out into the water(?) when, just in time, I noticed the starscryer trying to slip away for the last time tonight, and just then I reeled in, catching it right in the smoocher!
The duskfish was the opposite experience, I showed up at the Azim Steppe, cast once: zagas khaal. Mooch: duskfish. Done. Just like that. Easy peasey lemon squeezy. I have no idea what to make of these two experiences since they both tell me it's all sheer luck DESPITE how much raw fishing skill I know it takes.
For the last fish of the night, I finally managed to catch a new ocean fish! Fuck you, sothis!! You've evaded me for TOO LONG but NO LONGER!! This really made me feel back on top of my fishing game. Hopefully I'll be able to keep it up and catch the last 45 fish I can catch before I have to venture off, and have to go back to saving the world or something. Ya do whatcha gotta do to make ends not meet, I guess. There would be no fish to catch if the world exploded like has almost happened several times. C'est la vie!
